Welcome to Room 107
Welcome to the 2025 - 2026 school year!
I am excited to be entering my eleventh year as a Bearcat! I love Moody, our school, and all the students, staff, and community members that pass through our doors.
Here is a little about me: This is my 26th year in education. I grew up in China Spring, Texas, where I still live next door to my parents. My husband is a retired nurse and Army veteran and together we have ten children (ages 22 - 33) and sixteen grandchildren, three of whom attend Moody ISD: Lukas (6th), Travis (5th), and Ellie (3rd).
We love to fish, cook, binge TV series, watch football, and just have fun together. I personally enjoy reading in all genres (especially the classics), counted cross stitch, crochet, going on Sonic drink or snow cone dates with my husband and/or kids, trying new foods and restaurants, and going to concerts of all kinds.
I obtained a bachelors degree in early childhood education from Nelson University (formerly SAGU), my teacher certification through MCC, and a masters degree in special education from Concordia University. I have taught every level from Pre-K through 12th grade, and this year will be my first full year teaching resource/content mastery for the special education department in Moody, although I taught special education/inclusion at other districts. I will be teaching math, ELAR, science, government, and reading classes as well as academic support. Let's all strive to work hard but have fun while doing it this year!
