Moody High School Admission Policy and Enrollment Application

Moody High School operates as a campus-wide P-Tech academy, serving all MHS students.  All students enrolled at MHS are involved in the STEM program and will choose a pathway within one of four main areas: Health Science, Public Service, AG, or Digital Media.  MHS students will earn a STEM endorsement and earn 3+ college hours in advanced math or science courses. Moody High School offers students the opportunity to earn up to 60+ hours of college credit and an Associates Degree at no cost through McLennan Community College.  Students wishing to enroll in the Moody High School STEM program must follow the registration guidelines for the district.

Recruitment

Each Spring, the counselor visits with the incoming 9th graders (current 8th graders) to discuss various pathways and scheduling. This happens with current high school students too.

Plan of Communications

A class at the middle school, Introduction to High School, teaches kids about the various pathways they will be able to follow once they get to the high school. Students from the high school even visit to discuss a specific pathway they are in. This class, along with the counselor visiting with students is the plan to communicate to students.
